FRIDAY 28th Feb 2014, 8pm (Doors 7.15pm)
Bow Village Hall
As part of his Grow Your Own tour, Steve Knightley returns to Bow on the 28th February.
A solo appearance from the singer song-writing force behind ‘Show Of Hands’ described by Peter Gabriel as ” One of the great English Bands”.
Many of Steve’s songs are inspired by the people and landscape of his native West Country and others are inspired by contemporary issues such as ‘Arrogance, Ignorance and Greed’ with powerful lyrics and cracking tunes. An evening with Steve is, above all, wonderful entertainment, he captivates his audience with great songs, superb musicianship, witty and humorous anecdotes all performed with a great passion.
We are really looking forward to having Steve back in Bow as part of what will be a brilliant tour.

“One of England’s greatest singer songwriters”
— Mike Harding, BBC Radio 2
Steve Knightley is the songwriting force behind Show of Hands, widely acclaimed as the finest acoustic roots duo in England and with three Royal Albert Hall sell-outs to their name.
The Exeter-based singer-songwriter writes the majority of material for the band, which also features multi-instrumentalist Phil Beer, and together they won the Best Live Act title in the 2004 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards – the only category voted for by the public.
"Steve Knightley’s songs have developed such an edge it’s hard to deny them any longer.”
