Holly Morwenna

Holly Morwenna is an up and coming name in Devon’s prolific singer-songwriter circle that gave birth to Ben Howard, Seth Lakeman and many more. Having opened the festival at Poltimore last year, she’s gone on to support Sound of the Sirens at a sold-out Exeter Phoenix, and returns to the Poltimore courtyard with a host of new material following the success of her 2015 EP, Bloom. Despite only being 18 years old, Holly’s voice holds the maturity and confident fragility of someone assured in her influence and direction.

Eliza Acty

Eliza Acty is a singer and musician based in Devon, UK.With her unique vocal style, Eliza performs a wide range of folk, blues, American old-time and contemporary songs that span over a century of music.Born in Oxford with creative and musical parents, Eliza developed a love for singing at a young age, surrounded by folk songs and plentiful traditional music. Later in her childhood she moved to the utterly inspiring Dartmoor, Devon. She was soon introduced to the genre of Old-Time and Appalachian music in her early teens after playing along with multi-instrumentalist father Peter Acty on clawhammer banjo. She began to discover her singing fitted perfectly with traditional American music and has since never looked back.

The Leylines

The Leylines was started by a group of West Country musicians driving home from a session at the legendary Sawmills studios. Levelling The Land by The Levellers was on the car stereo. Something about the sound of the record, the rolling Cornish landscapes and the smell of summer connected in vocalist Steve’s head.

Steve, a product of council estates and stints in the Army, put his observations on the state of the nation into music and started writing. Adding the different musical backgrounds of band mates Matt (guitar), Pete (bass), Dave (drums) and Hannah (violin), The Leylines have created a style that combines the acerbic social commentary of Paul Weller with a folk-rock vibe that will send you right back to those long, hazy, festival days.
